CHARGES OWNERS, MANAGERS OF SCRANTON, PA, APARTMENT COMPLEX
WITH KEEPING OUT FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN. HUD has charged the
owners and managers of The Mill, a 74-unit apartment complex
in Scranton, PA, with violating the federal Fair Housing Act
by refusing to rent to families with children. HUD’s investigation
revealed the complex discouraged families with children from
residing at the complex and advertised itself as “21 and over.”
