Financial Management Development Program

Join Our Financial Management Team

Financial managers in government provide a valuable service to Manitobans.  They protect our financial resources, and ensure that government programs and services are delivered in a cost-effective way.

Financial management is a dynamic and growing area of public service.  We invite you to be part of this change, by participating in the Financial Management Development Program (FMDP).

You can contribute to the future of Manitoba by participating in FMDP.  This program is your opportunity to develop the skills that will make you competitive for those jobs that provide important financial advice to government.

This three-year internship program involves the recruitment of recent graduates who demonstrate potential for leadership within the public sector financial community and are eligible to enroll in the CGA or CMA program.  The program also includes rotation through job assignments in a variety of settings in both central agencies and line departments; support towards a professional financial accounting designation; and ongoing coaching from experienced financial managers.

Our goal: to provide Manitoba government with committed, knowledgeable financial managers.
