The Women's Resource Office (WRO) at Purdue University is responsible for improving the campus climate for women and developing and implementing programs that address women's issues and gender-related concerns. Working in collaboration with other University offices, our office provides advocacy and support for women's concerns; initiates and sponsors educational and professional development programs for and about women; provides information, counsel, and advice to women seeking assistance; assists University committees, departments, and offices seeking to improve recruitment and retention of women faculty and administrators, makes recommendations on policies of concern to women; increases sensitivity in the campus community to gender-based issues; and works to correct gender-based inequities.

Boilers Educating Against Rape - BEAR |
BEAR, which stands for Boilers Educating Against Rape, is a sexual assault prevention peer-to-peer education program. The purpose of this program is to help teach Purdue’s undergraduate students how to prevent sexual assault and how to stay safe. BEAR Peer Educators will give presentations to student organizations that are interested in having peer educators speak to either their men or women.
