Summer Seasonal Employment at NJDEP

Each year, the NJ State Park Service hires approximately 600 people to fill seasonal jobs from May through September. No experience is necessary. Salaries range from $7.25- $10.50 per hour. The minimum age for most positions is 16 years old. Whether you love the outdoors, want to gain work experience or learn new skills - diverse summer job opportunities are available at New Jersey's state parks, forests, recreation areas and historic sites. AmeriCorps Service Opportunity

  • AmeriCorps New Jersey Watershed Ambassadors Recruitment Page
    The goal of the 20 Ambassadors hired each year is to spread the message of protecting our streams, lakes and ocean from pollution caused by our daily activities. This is done through presentations to school children and community groups, field assessments and training individuals in visual and biological monitoring. The ambassadors are required to work 1700 hours during their term of service and receive a living allowance and an educational award upon completion.
