University Regulations provides information for all Purdue students on the structure, policy, regulations, and procedures of the University that govern their relationship to the University in both academic and personal progress toward their ultimate educational goals. It is designed as a reference book, with direct quotations from the University Code where applicable, covering the basic areas relating to all students on the campus.

There may be problems or questions of detail, particularly with reference to policies or procedures of a student’s instructor, school, or housing facility, for example, which can be answered only by the staff directly involved. Where a question regarding interpretation of a policy or procedure arises, a student should consult the Office of the Dean of Students, the Office of the Registrar, an academic advisor, a school counseling office, or other appropriate office.

Safety. The University strives to provide a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. The University distributes an annual security report containing campus crime statistics and information relating to campus safety and security policies and programs. The report is available on the Web at http://www.purdue.edu/police/assist/clery.htm. A paper copy may be requested by calling (765) 494-8221 or contacting the Purdue University Police Department, Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN 47907.
