funding for current farmers’ markets or groups that are interested

conference will take place in Mitchell, July 15, on the campus of
Mitchell Technical Institute. “Agritourism is a vital part
of the tourism industry in South Dakota,” said Richard Benda,

Funding Available for Specialty Crops in South Dakota. The South
Dakota Department of Agriculture announces that grants are
available for projects that enhance the competitiveness of
specialty crops. Specialty crops are defined for this program as
fruits, dried fruits, tree nuts, vegetables, and nursery crops
(including floriculture).
