Most orders are shipped in three business days via standard mail (printed matter) or UPS, depending on the size of the order. Please allow at least two weeks for your order to arrive. Faster shipping is available at additional cost; call for details.
Sales Tax Information -- New York State Residents Only
New York residents only must add sales tax. By New York state law, sales tax is calculated on both the cost of the books and on shipping and handling charges. For example, if you are purchasing a book for $25.00, your shipping and handling charge would be an additional $6.00, and sales tax is charged on the subtotal of $31.00. For example, in Tompkins County, New York (where NRAES is located), sales tax would be an additional $2.48 ($31.00 times 8%), and your order total would be $33.48.
If your organization is from New York state and is tax-exempt, please provide your New York State tax exemption number and enclose a tax-exempt certificate with your order. If your organization is from New York state and is a book reseller, you are exempt from New York state sales tax; a resale certificate or equivalent documentation must be on file.
Individuals and organizations from outside New York state are not charged sales tax.
Return Policy
Items may be returned only with prior written authorization from NRAES and only within 60 days of sale. Books must be in salable condition. Shipping and handling charges are not refunded; merchandise is returned at the customer's expense. There is a $25.00 charge to process the return. At NRAES' discretion, returns may be used as credit toward future orders by the customer, and restocking fees may be assessed. Contact NRAES for further details.
Damaged Books, Other Problems
If books or videos are damaged in transit, or if there are other problems with an order, the customer must notify NRAES within 10 days after the order is received to arrange for a replacement shipment. NRAES will provide further instructions.
