Podcasts are short audio broadcasts
that you can listen to on your computer, or download to a portable digital-music player.
You can use special software to "subscribe" to individual programs so that
new installments are automatically downloaded when they become available. Apple's
free iTunes automates downloads and syncing with
iPod players. Another free podcast program, Juice,
works with a variety of portable players, while Odeo
is a Web-based podcast player.
To listen to one or more WSJ podcasts feeds in your
podcast software reader, click on the "Listen Now"
button.
To subscribe to a podcast:
1) Right-click on the "Subscribe"
button and select "copy shortcut" or "copy link location" to copy
the location (URL) of the RSS feed.
2) Follow the instructions for your particular news reader, and then paste this location wherever it asks for the location of the RSS service or podcast you wish to subscribe to. (In iTunes, select the "Advanced" pulldown menu, and then select "subscribe to podcast." Paste the URL, as prompted.)
