Extension Program
James is responsible for the coordination of the Master Gardener program for the state. Some of his duties include: Helping select the training sites for both the fall and winter, selecting broadcast remote sites, procure speakers to present different Master Gardener topics over the Macromedia Breeze system, line up most of the speakers that present face-to-face programs at the training sites, coordinate the on-campus training portion with Donald Lewis, Mark Gleason, and Paula Flynn, teaching soils and herbaceous ornamentals of the program, and updating materials. Horticultural articles are also submitted to Yard and Garden and Horticulture and Home Pest News columns.
