UT College of Law alumna Danielle Whiteworth Barnes has been named commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Human Services by Gov. Bill Haslam. Barnes is currently the deputy commissioner and general counsel for the Tennessee Department of Human Resources (DOHR). She will now lead the agency with which she began her state government career.
