Noncredit Course Payment Options

Fees are due in full at the time of registration for all noncredit courses. The following payment options are available:

Check or money order: Mail check or money order to MU Direct made payable to the University of Missouri-Columbia. Note which class it is for and when your registration was submitted.

Credit card: Mail or fax the following information.

  • I authorize the use of: Discover/MasterCard/Visa
  • Cardholder Name
  • Card Number
  • Expiration Date
  • Dollar Amount

Third party: Include the following, and mail or fax a letter of authorization.

  • Your full name and student number or social security number
  • The time period their sponsorship covers (one semester or multiple semesters, for example)
  • Specification of the fees to be covered, or specifically not covered, under the agreement or a maximum dollar amount if appropriate
  • Specific authorization for the University of Missouri-Columbia to bill them on your behalf
  • The name and address of the sponsoring agency where the bills should be sent, with a phone number for us to call if we have questions

After receipt of a student's enrollment form indicating third-party billing, an e-mail reminder will be sent to the student to follow up with their third-party payer. Guidelines for third-party billing may be found at the Office of Cashiers.

Support for customized courses

School districts, businesses, and other organizations that would like to provide support for their teachers or employees should contact MU Direct for additional details regarding the third-party billing process.
