Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is a strategic approach to plant care that seeks to suppress pest populations while minimizing pest control costs and environmental disruption.

IPM integrates numerous control tactics, such as cultural, mechanical, biological and chemical methods.  Treatment decisions are based on information derived from scouting, threshold levels, pest and host biology and ecology, and weather.  Learn more about IPM.  Get more pest and disease information from our Fact Sheets and Photo Gallery.

Utah TRAPs (Timing Resource and Alert for Pests) is a new online tool provided through a partnership with the Utah Climate Center.  The site calculates degree days and provides insect phenology and management timing for tree fruit pests in northern Utah.  More features will be added to the site in the future.
