Green Olympiad: India’s first environment examination
GREEN Olympiad and TERRAQUIZ 2006 winners: Students from The Mother's International School, New Delhi, were chosen the Hero Honda
Environment Ambassadors from among 60,000 participants.
 
'School health and hygiene programme' under Yamuna Action Plan (phase-2)
TERI, with support from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation and the Public Works Department (W/S and sanitation departments), Government of Haryana, initiated the 'School health and hygiene programme' under the Yamuna Action Plan (phase 2). This school education programme on health, hygiene, and sanitation was launched in Gurgaon, Sonepat, and Panipat.
 
BEACON (Building Energy Awareness on CONservation) 
In 2004, TERI, with the support of the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, implemented a pilot project, BEACON (building energy awareness on conservation). This school education programme was a huge success, and was also awarded by the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy. Hence, it was decided, in September 2006, to extend the programme across the country for a period of 15 months, so that more people could be sensitized and made aware of the pressing energy problems facing the country, as well as the world, today.
 
PACCIFY  
The programme targets senior school and undergraduate students from schools and colleges in India.
 
Jal Jaagruktta
Jal Jaagruktta: school education project on water implemented by TERI and supported by Delhi Jal Board. Schoolchildren have been learning a lot about water and how to conserve and protect it.
 
YEARN
YEARN (Youth for Ethical Action and Respect for Nature) is a blog for the youth, who want to bring about a change in the way they think and act. It was launched by TERI on 31 January 2005, amidst overwhelming participation from about 300 high school and college students.

Air Quality Monitoring and Awareness Building Programme for Schools
Programme supported by the Ministry of Environment and Forests, and implemented by TERI.
 
Sensitization on Water Issues for School Students (SWISS)
This programme has sensitized and motivated students on water and related issues. The project was implemented in select school in Gurgaon and was supported by Agilent Technologies.
 
National Green Corps (A movement of environment friendly children)
The MoEF (Ministry of Environment & Forests), Government of India has identified TERI to take up the evaluation of NGC (National Green Corps) (eco-clubs) programme in the states of West Bengal, Assam and Mizoram.
