What is the DSBS? Within SBA, the Dynamic Small Business Search (DSBS), is an internal database of firms certified by SBA under the 8(a) Business Development and HUBZone programs. The DBSS will populate those fields in CCR. The DBSS will automatically review the NAICS codes supplied by a firm and perform calculations against each NAICS code size standard to determine which NAICS codes the firm qualifies as a small business, based on employment and revenue information entered into CCR. Firms will update their records via the CCR Update Web page and should follow the links and directions found there. This automated review of a firm's size is being done to determine if it is eligible to be included in the DSBS and does not affect, in any way, the self-representation requirement for Federal procurement. The U.S. Small Business Administration, the Department of Defense, the Office of Management and Budget and the General Services Administration have taken steps to simplify the federal contracting process by creating an integrated database of small businesses that want to do business with the government. The integration of DSBS and DOD's Central Contractor Registration (CCR) databases has created one portal for entering and searching small business sources. This integration assists small businesses with marketing their goods and services to the federal government. The integration began on Jan 1, 2004. 2. Where do I go to update or register my CCR profile? Go to http://www.bpn.gov/ccr/default.aspx You can login to CCR or Create a New Registration 3. Where do I go to update my DSBS profile? Go to http://www.bpn.gov/ccr/default.aspx In order to update your SBA supplemental page, you need to login first to your CCR profile. Once you have login, go to the bottom of the page and click on the "save/validate" button. Then you will see a blue button that says "SBA/Registration". This will give you direct access to your SBA profile for updates. 4. I have just changed my company name, NAICS code, physical address in CCR. Why doesn’t DSBS reflect that change immediately? Changes made to CCR data fields take effect in DSBS after 24 to 48 hours, or in 2 business days. 5. When I registered in CCR, upon completion, I wasn’t transferred to SBA’s DSBS nor I was given a small business status? You need to have a complete active CCR profile in order to get listed with SBA. A small business size determination is made based on your annual revenue, number of employees and NAICS codes. If you qualify as a small business, your company will get registered automatically with SBA. 6. I did a search in DSBS but my profile does not come up. What’s wrong? Your profile might not be current. All CCR and DSBS profiles must be updated annually or they will not appear in the DSBS Search Page. Please go back, and be sure that you have updated CCR and your SBA Supplemental Pages within the last twelve months. You may have chosen the information opt-out option in CCR and your profile will not be viewable to the public. If you were running multiple searches at different times, you might not have cleared the form. It is always a good idea to scroll down the search page and click on the CLEAR FORM button. 7. My DSBS profile is up to date, yet it does not appear in the DSBS search page results. You may have chosen the information opt-out option in CCR and your profile will not be viewable to the public. You may not be listed as a small business with CCR. You will need to check if you have input the correct information. 8. When I tried contacting the DSBS helpdesk, it took a long time to get a response? You can login to CCR or Create a New Registration
In order to update your SBA supplemental page, you need to login first to your CCR profile. Once you have login, go to the bottom of the page and click on the "save/validate" button. Then you will see a blue button that says "SBA/Registration". This will give you direct access to your SBA profile for updates.
