Village Hall Closed:

     November 23-24     December 24-25 & 31     January 1

Village Hall - Front Desk will be open December 31, 8am - Noon for tax payments only.

All other departments will be closed.


HYDRANT FLUSHING

Tuesday, October 23 - Thursday, October 25

Occasionally water becomes discolored after hydrant flushing. If needed, run your cold water for a few minutes to clear the system. You should avoid washing clothes on hydrant flushing days.


CURBSIDE LEAF COLLECTION

Monday, October 29 - Friday, November 16

Leaves only please, no grass clippings or brush. The Operations Department will be making several passes throughout the Village during this time - weather permitting.

ELECTION INFORMATION

Fall General Election is November 6, 2012.

This General Election is for President, U.S. Senator, U.S. Representative, even-numbered Wisconsin State Senate seats, all Wisconsin Assembly seats, and all District Attorneys.

Absentee voting will be available at the Sussex Village Hall, October 22 - November 2, 8am - 5pm, Monday through Friday.

Late Voter Registration will be available at the Sussex Village Hall, October 18 - November 2, 8am - 5pm, Monday through Friday. Proof of residence is required for late voter registration.

No absentee voting or voter registration is permitted on Monday, November 5.

The Village of Sussex will post on this web site the number of outstanding provisional and absentee ballots after polls close on November 6, 2012.

WEST NILE VIRUS

Three crows in Waukesha County have tested positive for West Nile Virus. The County plans to continue surveillance for the virus until the end of mosquito season.

To report a sick or dead crow, blue jay, or raven, please call the Dead Bird Reporting Hotline at 1-800-433-1610.
