UPDATE!!  SPECIAL WINTER PARKING PRESS RELEASE

Due to the significant snowfall received in the Fond du Lac area, the City Police and Public Works Departments are implementing emergency parking restrictions on all streets regulated by the winter parking ordinance. The large amounts of snow along roadways and residential streets, coupled with parking along both sides during the day, has made safe passage of emergency and snow removal equipment very difficult. Until further notice, the winter odd-even parking ban will be extended to 24 hours for all streets regulated by the winter parking ordinance. Parking restrictions will run daily, from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the following night, in accordance with the odd-even guidelines. As an example; parking on an even numbered night will only be allowed on the even address side of the street, and remain in place until 8:00 p.m. on the next night. At 8:00 p.m. on that day (odd), parking will only be allowed on the odd address side of the street. This emergency restriction will now allow parking on only one side of the street between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. as well as during the evening and early morning hours. Notices relaxing these emergency measures will be issued once snow accumulations have sufficiently decreased.
