Department of State : Delaware Public Service Commission

DELAWARE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION

PSC Logo
Created in 1949 to regulate investor-owned public utilities, the Delaware Public Service Commission (PSC) works to ensure safe, reliable and reasonably priced cable, electric, natural gas, wastewater, water and telecommunications services for Delaware consumers. For those services that are moving toward competitive markets, the Commission makes rules to level the playing field between competing providers, and resolves disputes between these providers. The PSC also assists consumers in resolving disputes with their service providers.

The Department of Natural Resources & Environmental Control is looking for input to develop Delaware's New 5-Year Energy Plan. Please take a few moments to respond to a short survey regarding important Energy Issues facing our State to let us know what is important to you.

A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR

Dear Energy Consumer,

Monthly energy bills are expected to increase substantially and remain high for the foreseeable future. One of the best ways to minimize the impact of these costs is to conserve energy. To assist you in this area, the Public Service Commission has posted a publication of energy savings tips, and a Delaware Energy Tips page that offers additional links and resources. We hope you will take the time to visit these sites and learn about ways to combat high energy costs.

If you need help with payment of your utility bill, contact the Delaware Helpline at 1-800-464-HELP (in-state). For out-of-state long distance, the number is 1-800-273-9500.

Sincerely,

Arnetta McRae, Chair
Delaware Public Service Commission
