WAYS TO PREVENT THE MOSQUITO POPULATION 

  • KEEP PROPERTY CLEAN AND CUT TO A MINIMUM
  • REMOVE TIRES FROM PROPERTY
  • CLEAN OUT GUTTERS OF FOLIAGE
  • MONITOR POTS FOR PLANTS THAT HOLD WATER
  • EMPTY OUT BUCKETS, BIRD BATHS, TIRES, POOLS, AND ANYTHING THAT CAN HOLD WATER FOR A PERIOD OF TIME.
  • REPORT ANY ABANDONDED HOUSE THAT HAVE UNKEPT POOLS.
     

WE ONLY SPRAY WHEN WEATHER PERMITS
(10 MPH OR LESS WIND SPEED) 

WE SPRAY IN THE EVENING WHEN THE MOSQUITOS ARE MOST ACTIVE

WE LARVACIDE ALL DRAINAGE AND HOLD WATER PONDS AFTER A RAINFALL.

Water & wastewater rates for all citizens of Del Rio increased effective November 3, 2014 in pursuant to Ordinance NO. O:2014-110.  The minimum monthly water bill for the first three thousand (3,000) gallons consumed shall be based on the customer's meter size - review the schedule here.
