University Committee on Women

The University Committee on Women is a diverse group of women from across campus. UCW is an active and involved network that responds actively to women's issues including monitoring and improving the number of women in leadership positions at ISU, with special attention to the need for more women department chairs, and also continuing work to improve the climate on campus for women students, staff and faculty.

"Being a part of UCW is a marvelous experience and perhaps without even knowing it, a great mentoring opportunity to sit in on meetings and retreats learning about our institution, the strategies our committee employed and the workings of the system. This type of networking and mentoring is important to young, inexperienced staff members of ISU and will continue to reach out to others."
