MISSION: IPAN's mission is to promote and facilitate international activities in the College through collaboration with educational institutions, organizations and agencies throughout the world.

BACKGROUND:  International Programs in Agriculture and Natural Resources was established in 1998 when the dean of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources recognized the importance of international involvement and sought to encourage and facilitate research, outreach, and education efforts across the globe.

Faculty in the College have a long history of helping colleagues in other countries improve their crop production, animal rearing, conservation practices and policy understanding. We have extended knowledge gained from our own experiences and, in turn, benefited from our involvement with colleagues abroad.

Programs and projects range from distance education, curriculum development, establishing extension services, food safety, soil remediation, aquaculture, to crop production and veterinary medicine.  Countries with on-going projects include India, China, Russia, and the Republic of Georgia

Finally, IPAN coordinates and develops international agriculture and natural resource programs for the College and University.
