Welcome to Legislative Information! Here’s where you’ll find legislation requested by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
DNR’s legislative agenda for the 2008 session focuses on community forests, recreation, and public safety. SB 6249/HB 2468 will make our communities more competitive for federal grants that protect the health and sustainability of their urban forests. SB 6212/HB 2472 will improve safe, accessible recreation on DNR-managed state trust and aquatic lands for our growing population.
SB 6211/HB 2471 will help the Washington Geological Survey improve the earth sciences data that cities and counties use to protect citizens, infrastructure, other important resources, and economic stability. Two legislative proposals—SB 6214/HB 2470 and SB 6213/HB 2469— will make technical clarifications on DNR’s management of state-owned aquatic lands. 2009 Legislative PrioritiesAvailable soon.
