The Manitoba Dental Association is the governing body for dentists and dental assistants in Manitoba.  We are empowered by the Province of Manitoba to carry out the requirements of The Dental Association Act. 

And as such, we ensure that the oral health of Manitobans is met through:

• Qualifications for those entering the profession of dentistry and dental assisting
• The development of clinical standards
• Professional and ethical standards and behavior
• Requirements to maintain knowledge and clinical skills through continuing dental education

The main purpose of the website is two-fold.  First is for public use.  The public will be able to access information relating to dental health topics, job opportunities, dentistry as a career and in finding a dentist.

The second is for dental health professionals to access regulations relating to the practice of dentistry or as a dental assistant in Manitoba.  It also provides dentists with a secure site to view continuing education opportunities, review personal information and other regulatory requirements.

Since February of 2007, our website has seen a tremendous increase in activity.   Weekly visits to our website have increased from 4,800 per week to nearly 30,000 visits per week.
