Museum Fellowships
15th Anniversary Smithsonian Fellowships in Museum Practice

The Smithsonian Center for Education and Museum Studies (SCEMS) supports continuous professional development. SCEMS offers the Fellowships in Museum Practice (FMP) program to serve the needs of mid-career practitioners and to promote the exchange of knowledge in the field.

The deadline for the next application cycle is February 15, 2009, for fellowships beginning after October 15, 2009.

The Fellowships in Museum Practice is generously supported by the Women's Committee of the Smithsonian Institution.

  Fellowships are awarded through a competitive process.

  An award provides financial support and access to Smithsonian facilities, resources, staff and reference collections.
