You have 31 days to notify the benefit operations team of a qualified change in status! If you were recently married, had a child, or experienced any other change in family or work status, you must report this event within 31 days or you will not be allowed to make the change until the next Open Enrollment period.
Newly hired employees and employees with a qualified change in status have a Period of Initial Eligibility (PIE). The PIE allows the employee 31 days from the date of hire or change in status to enroll in or make changes to their insurance plans.
