Office of the President released UC's Statement
of Ethical Values and Standards
of Ethical Conduct (PDF 96K).
Web-based training on these documents
will be piloted in 2006. See the cover

The
Office of Pesticide Information and
Coordination (OPIC), established
in 1962, by the University of California’s
Division of Agriculture and Natural
Resources (UC DANR), coordinates
and reviews DANR activities pertaining
to pesticide research, experimentation,
and use.

Responsibilities of OPIC
- Advising UC AES and Cooperative Extension personnel on matters pertaining to safe and legal use of pesticides for research, demonstration and extension purposes
- Facilitating UC pest management research and demonstration projects using pesticides
- Advising state agencies on matters pertaining to UC pesticide experimentation and use
