About 1 in 20 undergraduate students and 1 in 10 graduate students at DSU
come from other countries, providing a broad range of cultural diversity to
the university community. To further cultural exchange and meet the university’s
commitment to a global mission, DSU actively engages in recruiting students
from abroad.
The Office of International Students not
only recruits foreign students; it helps meet their whole array of needs once
they arrive on campus. The office provides guidance on matters including:
- admission requirements
- health and religious concerns
- immigration rules and regulations
It also coordinates programs that promote students’ academic and personal
growth and that encourage positive interactions among foreign and domestic
students.
The percentage of international students accepted is based on total full-time
enrollment. International students whose transcripts are judged satisfactory
by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and who have made satisfactory scores
on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) will
be considered for admission to the university.
