Fees & Reservations
 

Reservations:

  • NO RESERVATIONS ARE NEEDED to visit the dozens of self-guided caves found on Cave Loop and elsewhere in the park. Have fun exploring on your own, but be sure to come prepared.

  • Fern Cave and Crystal Ice Cave tour reservations can be made by phone by calling 530-667-8113. Access to both caves is limited and seasonal. Reservations are taken on a "first-come, first-serve" basis.

Campground Fees:

  • Campsite Fee: $10.00
  • Group Campsite: $3.00 per person, up to $60.00


Annual & Lifetime Passes:

  • Lava Beds Annual Pass: $20.00
    • Good for one year from date of purchase
       
  • Annual Pass: "America The Beautiful - The National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Annual Pass": $80.00
    • Good for one year from date of purchase
    • Replaces both the National Parks Annual Pass and the Golden Eagle Pass on January 1st, 2007
       
  • Senior Pass:"America The Beautiful - The National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Senior Pass": $10.00
    • Golden Age passes are still valid for life

Did You Know?
Sagebrush mariposa lily ( Calochortus macrocarpus) is arguably the most beautiful flower at Lava Beds. It blooms in early summer and is usually found in open sagebrush areas. It ranges from deep lavender to white in color.
