Submissions
Tell Us
We welcome submissions of news and feature stories, calendar items and photos. A submission does not guarantee either print or online publication. All editorial content decisions are made by University Relations editorial staff and are based on news value and interest to the whole university community. Submissions are subject to editing for length, clarity and appropriateness for publication.
Send submissions at least four weeks in advance to insideuf@ufl.edu. Be sure to include contact information (name, e-mail and phone) for questions. The following general content and length guidelines apply:
- Top Stories, In Focus profiles (news and feature stories): Up to 500 words
- Seen & Heard (recognitions, awards, honors, appointments and professional activity announcements): Up to 125 words
- Note This (administrative announcements): 50-100 words
- Happenings (calendar, event listings): 25-50 words to include name of event; time, date and location; brief description and sponsor; name of speaker(s), fee, refreshments and registration information. Contact name, e-mail and phone number(s) also should be included.
- UF Voices (guest editorial): Up to 300 words
- Print photos: At least 4 inches by 6 inches in size and 300 dpi resolution (photos in jpeg format may be sent electronically as attachments in e-mails)
- Online photos: Images in jpeg format no larger than 512 KB and 400 pixels wide
