Global Health in Regional Spotlight
Leaders in academia, business, politics, and philanthropy shared ideas on how to coalesce and grow the state’s work in global health at a three-day conference sponsored by the Seattle Chamber of Commerce (Oct. 22-24). “Global health is exciting people from an economic-development point of view, from an academic point of view, from a social justice point of view,” said UW President Mark Emmert. “That seems to fit our community beautifully.” For video footage, go to UWTV and for presentations and background material, go to the Seattle Chamber of Commerce website.
