We are the Indiana Native Plant and Wildflower Society. Our mission is to promote the appreciation, preservation, conservation, utilization and scientific study of the flora native to Indiana and to educate the public about the values, beauty, diversity and environmental importance of indigenous vegetation.

INPAWS 2009 SMALL GRANT DEADLINE: FEB 1ST
INPAWS has a small grants program to support projects in line with its mission of promoting the appreciation, preservation, conservation, utilization and scientific study of the flora native to Indiana and to educate the public about the values, beauty, diversity and environmental importance of indigenous vegetation. The Grants & Awards Committee is usually able to fund two grants of up to $500 each.

Attention - new invasive plant in Indiana! Be on the lookout for an aggressive mustard that has just been found in Indiana for the first time, and is known from one county in Michigan - Cardamine impatiens (Narrow-leaved bitter-cress). Click here for information and photos.
