Volunteers Needed for Board Positions

The Landscape Architects' Board is in immediate need of one Public Member.

The Governor appoints citizens of Oregon to more than 200 boards and commissions on an ongoing basis, many of whom serve as public members.  Public members should be willing to learn, be committed to participation, and not be affiliated, in particular, with any of the professions they may be ultimately licensing or regulating.  While they may be familiar with the profession by having used the services or knowing of the services, public members need to represent the unbiased public good of all of Oregon.

See the following web location for information [http://governor.oregon.gov/Gov/boards.shtml ] or contact the Governor’s Appointment’s Office.  Note that the Governor’s Office currently has numerous openings for Public Members, so an applicant could be appointed to a regulatory Board other than the Landscape Architect Board.

If you are a Landscape Architect reading this solicitation and you have any friends, neighbors, etc. that might be interested in volunteer service to the State of Oregon, please direct them to this information.  If they would like to serve specifically on the State Landscape Architect Board, they must clarify that on their application.

Individuals are encouraged to call the Board office for additional information about the position.
