How do I add data or edit an existing case of resistance?
There are numerous ways you can add data.  Where ever you see a link that says "Edit" or "Add Note" then click on it and it will allow you to edit data once you have logged on using your UserName and Password.  Editing  links primarily occur on pages that contain detailed information about a specific case of resistance.  Scroll down these pages and you will see where to edit a case.  An example of how to get to such a case:
  • From the home page  select a weed from the species pull down menu - hit go

  • Click on a country within the table

  • You will have chosen a specific case of resistance that can be edited.

You can also upload any type of document here.

How do I edit my contact information?
  • To find your contact information go to to the "Researchers" page and search for your name using the pull down menus.  Then click on the Edit button in the top right hand corner of your user information.
  • Alternatively - wherever you see the word Edit - associated with your name (if you report resistant weeds it will appear many places throughout the web site) then click on it and you will be taken to a form to update your contact information.

How do I know if I am registered or not?
If you have been involved with the reporting of herbicide resistant weeds you are probably already in our database.  You can check to see if you are listed by:
  • Go to the "Researchers" page and search for your name using the pull down menus or
  • Go to the "Auto Email" page - you can select your name from a list and then have your password e-mailed to you automatically.

How do I quickly locate information on a resistant weed?
You have many options - go to the home page (click on WeedScience.com) listed at the top left of this page.  The main thing is to click on links within tables!
Use the pull down menus to find a weed by:
  • Common Name - select a weed and click go.  It then lists all the occurrences of herbicide resistance in this species.  Once this table downloads you can then CLICK a the COUNTRY to get a detailed view of a case of resistance.
  • Species - Same as above
  • Herbicide Mode of Action - Lists by MOA
  • Country - Lists by Country
  • USA State - This is a bit different!  Here you not only get a list of herbicide resistant weeds for a state, but you also get a summary for the state.  Go to the home page and select a state - such as California - to see what you get.

Again, the best way to utilize this database is to click on links within tables!

I need help understanding some items when I am entering data on resistant weeds.
