2008-Farm Bill Specialty Crop Grant Program
The Oregon Department of Agriculture is currently accepting applications for the 2008-Farm Bill Specialty Crop Grant Program until August 20, 2008. These funds are made available under the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Specialty Crop Block Grant Program, which promotes the increased consumption of fruits, vegetables, and nuts, and to enhance the competitiveness of specialty crops.
 
With limited funds available for this year, the ODA hopes to use the money for the largest possible impact on agriculture and will be looking for innovative proposals and colloborative efforts from Oregon's specialty crop industries.
 
 
  • Grants of up to $30,000 with projects extended for two years.
  • Applicants are highly encouraged to provide a 1:1 cash match.
  • Specialty crops include commonly recognized fruits, vegetables, tree nuts, dried fruits, and nursery crops (including floriculture and horticulture). To see a complete list of eligible crops.
  • Grant funds cannot be used to benefit a single company, individual, or commercial entity.
