Our Commitment To Your Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. We provide this notice to explain our online information practice. It applies to all information of a personal nature collected or submitted on BSA owned and/or operated websites.
The Information We Do and
Do Not Collect
We do not collect or store
Credit/Debit Card information used by you in making online transaction
with the Society. We use an accredited, certified and
insured provider to conduct all transactions directly with our
bank.
We do collect your
contact information for Society use through the member join/renew
process, gift and donation process, our abstract submission process
and in registration for meetings and educational program support.
The types of personal information collected are: Name, Institution,
Department, Address, Email, Phone and Fax number. We also collect
information regarding your membership type, sectional affiliations
and the donations you make.
The Way We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to support specific Society
operations, including shipment of the American Journal of
Botany, Plant Science Bulletin and all other Society
instigated mailings. We use your email address to communicate
with you from the BSA office, including correspondence from the
BSA sections. We also use your information on the Conference abstract
page and in the online and print copies of the BSA Member Directory.
We do not share your information
with outside parties. We do not sell
or provide mail or email list to anyone.
