Oregon Tilth Submits Comments on Proposed Pasture Regulation

Oregon Tilth comments on Proposed Pasture Regulation

On December 23rd, 2008 during a major Oregon winter snow, Oregon Tilth finalized and pulled together the final comments to the USDA with regarads to the proposed pasture regulation rule change.

Over the past several months many advocacy groups, certification agents, industry officials and livestock producers have met to discuss the proposed regulation and how it will work in an organic system.  Oregon Tilth has been flooded with comments from our certified livestock producers describing how it will effect their operation.

Our staff have met on several occasions, listened closely to all your concerns, reviewed countless comments submitted directly to the USDA and to us and have submitted our final comments on this proposed rule change.

You can view our comments posted here on this site and all those posted and provided directly to the USDA by visiting regulations.gov, Pasture Comment Page.
