The publication and dissemination of documentation are one of the important functions of the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity. This page is a compilation of CBD as well as external resources related to biodiversity.

The goal of the
CBD Technical Series
is to contribute to the dissemination of up-to-date and accurate information on selected topics that are important for the conservation of biological diversity, the sustainable use of its components and the equitable sharing of its benefits.
Global Biodiversity Outlook 2
assesses the current status and trends of biodiversity and the key drivers of biodiversity loss. It provides a powerful case for the importance of biodiversity to human well-being.
Global Biodiversity Outlook (GBO)
provides a summary of the status of biological diversity and an analysis of the steps being taken by the global community to ensure that biodiversity is conserved and used sustainably, and that benefits arising from the use of genetic resources are shared equitably.
This
Handbook
is intended as a reference guide to decisions adopted by the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the Convention on Biological Diversity and the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety (COP-MOP) as well as a guide to ongoing activities in relation to particular Articles and/or cross-cutting issues of the Convention.
