As an Ohio State employee, you can take advantage of exciting learning opportunities through the Bridge Program. If you’ve been thinking about taking courses at Ohio State, and you want to use your tuition benefit, but you’re not quite sure how to begin, Bridge may be the program for you.

Easy and Convenient
Since 1983, the Office of Continuing Education (CEd) has provided this “bridge” to learning for staff who want to make the transition from work life to academic life. The Bridge Program helps ease the anxieties of staff who have little or no college experience and offers schedules convenient to regular working hours. When you’re juggling work, school and family, it helps to have courses scheduled with your time constraints in mind. Bridge courses are scheduled in the late afternoon and early evenings (right after work in many cases).

It’s a Benefit You Can Use
The Bridge Program is open to all regular university employees who hold a high school diploma or equivalent. If you are eligible for Ohio State’s fee authorization program, you pay no tuition if you successfully complete the course. Visit ced.osu.edu/bridgefees.html for complete rules. When you participate in the Bridge Program, you are an Ohio State student.

An Academic Core
The Bridge Program offers one core course dedicated solely to Bridge students in the autumn, winter and spring quarters. Click here to view next quarter's course and additional courses you may be interested in.

Nontraditional Academic Advising
In the Bridge Program, you’re surrounded by peers and supported by CEd, with academic advisors who understand the needs of working adult students. To talk to one of our academic advisors about the Bridge Program, call (614) 292-8860.
