"I haven't been everywhere, but it's on my list."
Susan Sontag, American literary theorist and novelist
Lists. I don't know about you, but I live by lists. I have written and will continue to write them by the dozens. Indeed, I have a record of the destinations I've been fortunate enough to visit, as well as one for those I yearn to experience. Do you have a travel list?
If you long for what lies beyond and would like to add to your list, we hope you'll find what you seek from our selection of 2009 Ohio State Alumni Tours. It features a diverse array of destinations near and far, modes of travel, trip lengths and price points.
As always, the calendar features an excellent variety of Buckeye favorites. Have you explored Peru, China, Italy, or South Africa? The Emerald Isle or the City of Light? Do you desire a relaxing cruise along one of Europe's scenic rivers or perhaps, a deep sea voyage through the Panama Canal, the azure waters of the Mediterranean or majestic Alaska? Have you smelled spring's lilacs on Mackinac Island or taken in the clean crisp air of Vermont in autumn?
What's new in 2009? Exotic Morocco, Thailand, and Malaysia. Cosmopolitan Singapore, the great migration in Tanzania, and a Caribbean cruise aboard the luxurious Sea Cloud II. Stroll the streets of ancient Israel, and ride the rails through historic Russia or rustic Colorado. Board a private jet and discover some of the world's legendary cultures. The Association is also offering its first trip designed exclusively for women, a weekend in Chicago.
Explore these destinations and many more with your peers -- Buckeye alumni and friends. We're certain the camaraderie will enhance your travel experience no matter the destination. All the while, you're assured the quality, value and excellence an Ohio State Alumni Tour provides.
What sites do you wish to visit? Why not make 2009 the year you cross them off (or add them to) your list? You'll not only relish the accomplishment of doing so, you'll be rewarded with the gift of travel and the opportunity to experience everyday things in another place, as if for the first time.
Warm regards,
