These evenings, shortly after midnight, the faint “dwarf planet” Ceres can be seen through binoculars just inside the upper line of the triangle that forms the haunches of Leo the Lion. An easier target 15 degrees south of it is Saturn.
Venus sets at 9:07 p.m. Mars rises at 6:48 a.m.
Jupiter sets at 5:44 p.m. Saturn rises at 9:40 p.m.
