RAFI-USA's 1700 square foot Dan Pollitt Center is situated on three beautiful,
secluded acres in the small town of Pittsboro, North Carolina. Centrally-located
in the state, the Center is designed primarily for day retreats, seminars
and workshops for non-profit, community and other regional groups.
A Spectacular Meeting Facility! Nestled in a tranquil wooded cove and suffused by natural light, the Dan Pollitt Center offers an ideal space for clearing the mind, refreshing relationships and focusing energy.
A Lovely Gathering Place! Passive solar technology, daylighting and recovered heartpine used throughout the Center exemplify the foundations of good design: efficiency, ecological awareness and beauty. Amenities include a screened porch, deck and backyard picnic area.

Shared Mission. Proceeds from the rental of the Dan Pollitt Center
support Rural Advancement Foundation International (RAFI-USA), a nonprofit
organization that works to create conditions for a dependable supply of
safe food, sustainability for family farmers and vibrant rural communities.
The Center is named after RAFI's founding board member Daniel H. Pollitt
in honor of his lifelong service for equal rights and opportunities for
all people.
The Community. In the heart of rural Chatham County, Pittsboro
is 16 miles south of Chapel Hill, 28 miles west of Raleigh and 45 miles
south-east of Greensboro. The area quietly bustles with artists, antique
dealers, farmers and nature enthusiasts.
Nearby Amenities. A variety of dining and catering options
including country inns, locally-owned sandwich and soda shops and even
a five-star restaurant are available, many within walking distance of
the Center.
