High Schools
- To be held on a Satuday, March 22, 2008, at the Chicago Children's Museum
on Navy Pier.
- Six Illlinois high school teams will compete to be named the
state's best at building the zaniest machine that takes 20
or more steps to
assemble a hamburger consisting of no less than one precooked meat patty, two
vegetables and two condiments, sandwiched between two bun halves.

- Up to 12 Chicago-area high school teams will build the zaniest

or more steps to replace an incandescent light bulb with a more energy-efficient light-emitting design.
