Ad consists of two components: an 88x31 image in gif/jpg format and text -
no animation. Client should supply both image and text. SFGate can, for
a production charge, create the image.
Images can be 3rd party served, however, each ad (image and text) must be
assembled by SFGate design group.
Character and text limits:
Up to 50 characters total (approx 3 lines) of text displayed in mixed
case (see example)
SFGate will track impressions and clicks. Client may also either
request inclusion of tracking pixel to count impressions or serve the
image through a 3rd party system.

Home Page Exit Interstitial
The Home Page Exit Interstitial will serve an interstitial ad frame
and ad once per day to anyone who visits the SFGate home page and then
clicks on a link that does not open up a popup or go to another website.
Creative size is 640x480 and can be 3rd party served. Any animation in the
ad must cease after 10 seconds since interstitial page only pauses 10 seconds
before forwarding user to initially requested
page.
SFGate delivers the ad within a page served from the sfgate.com servers.
SFGate controls frequency cap and interstitial pause from this page.
Uninitiated audio not permitted. Only one advertiser may run this type of
creative on any single day in any given 7 day period (Monday-Sunday).
