ITaP Instructional Computing Labs

Teaching and Learning Technologies supports and maintains over 50 instructional computing labs on campus. The computing labs range in size from 14 computers to over 100 computers. The ITaP computers in these labs provide an extensive software suite and a secure work environment for our faculty, staff and students. Instructors can request to have software installed on the lab computer network for course use, and can reserve instructional labs for teaching.

Features
Labs with PC, Mac, or Solaris computers are available. All ITaP labs are equipped with printers and most labs have scanners. All PC and Mac lab computers have CDR-W drives or DVD±RW/CD-RW drives.

Interactive Pen Displays
WACOM DTF-720 pen displays are available on all of the computers in SC 283, including the instructor station. DyKnow, installed in SC 283, also provides drawing tools that allow you to write and draw in DyKnow Notebook. Any drawings or annotations that you or your students make can be saved as part of the "digital notebook" to be reviewed later.

Digital Learning Collaboratory
The DLC is located in the Hicks Undergraduate Library (HIKS B853). This cutting-edge facility provides students the opportunity to utilize workstations for accessing electronic resources, scanning documents, capturing images, 3-D development & rendering, web development, as well as editing and compressing digital video and audio. Apart from a large multimedia development area, the DLC features a wireless instructional area, equipment checkout, and collaboration rooms. Assistive Learning Center
The Assistive Technology Center (ATC) is located in Stewart Center, room 111. The center promotes an accessible information technology infrastructure at Purdue that is usable by all students, faculty, and staff regardless of disability status.
