You can now enjoy the convenience of shopping online for ISGS publications and maps. It's easy. Visit our secure Shop ISGS site, select the items you want, and order using your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express. We'll confirm your order and send it out to you as quickly as possible, usually within 5 business days or less.

ISGS publications and maps and some additional publications relating to the geology of Illinois are available from the Information Office (Room 122 I-Building, 1816 South Oak) on the University of Illinois campus in Champaign.

Information Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.–4:30 p.m.. Maps and publications may also be ordered by mail, telephone, fax, or e-mail.

How to Order

Order publications by series and number. Order ISGS maps by series, number, and title. Order topographic maps by quadrangle name and scale. (Topographic maps are $7.00 each plus shipping/handling.) Include shipping/handling charges listed below. Orders must be prepaid.

Payment Options

Checks or money orders should be made payable to the Illinois State Geological Survey. Visa/MasterCard are also accepted. When ordering with a credit card, please include the card number, expiration date, and a daytime telephone number we can call if we have a question about your order. The ISGS is not responsible for the security of credit card numbers transmitted by e-mail.

Shipping Options

All orders are sent First class/UPS. You may request orders by shipped overnight if you provide your UPS or FedEx account number. There is a $3.00 processing fee for orders sent overnight. ISGS shipping charges do not apply to such orders.
