Some institutions have "transaction limits" that are separate from your "monthly limit." If your card is declined, you may need to check your limit with your procurement office.
Another common problem is the vendor type. Because The Chronicle is a newspaper, our credit-card processor has labeled us "Newsstand." You may need to check with your procurement office to see if "Newsstand" is an approved vendor type.
