Reproduction
Usually twins are born. The father and siblings share in rearing.

Social Structure
Lives in family groups of two to eight individuals—a breeding pair and their offspring, and sometimes other relatives.

Status
Severely endangered because their habitat has been fragmented into small, unconnected areas. About 1,500 golden lion tamarins live in the wild.
