Obtaining Permission to Publish National Air and Space Museum Photographs

Images from the collection of the National Air and Space Museum or from NASM's web site are subject to Smithsonian Institution, National Air and Space Museum, Copyright and Image Use Restrictions.

Usage requires prior written permission from the Museum. Should you wish to use NASM still images in any medium, please request Permission by printing, completing and signing the appropriate application form from the list below and submitting it to the following address:

Before submitting an Application, please check that all fields (such as print run, size of image on page and signature) are complete. Please identify images by Smithsonian Institution negative number; if negative numbers are not known, please send photocopies of the images (with information on where they are credited to NASM) with your application. Include your email address and telephone and fax numbers, as well; we will contact you shortly with the status of your request.

Usage fees, when applicable, may be paid with checks in US dollars drawn on a US bank, money orders, Mastercard or Visa.
