Washington, DC -- U.S. Congressmen Bart Stupak (D-Menominee) and Steve Kagen (D-Appleton) were notified Monday by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) that Marinette Marine’s protest of a U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) contract has been denied.

Washington, DC -- U.S. Congressmen Bart Stupak (D-Menominee) and Steve Kagen (D-Appleton) have written to the U.S. Navy over concerns that the Navy will not meet its January goal of awarding contracts to purchase two Littoral Combat Ships (LCS). The letter follows ongoing conversations Stupak and Kagen have had with Navy officials about LCS contract delays that have put jobs in jeopardy at Marinette Marine in Marinette, Wis.
