The University Of Arizona
The Controlled Environment Agriculture Center (CEAC) hopes to advance the current state of controlled environment technology, to assist the rapidly growing CEA industry in Arizona, and to train the future generations of CEA scientists, growers and entrepreneurs.

Controlled Environment Agriculture provides students with a broad background in greenhouse structures and other protected agriculture techniques, environmental controls, sensors and computer systems for heating, cooling, light management, carbon dioxide enrichment, etc., seedling production, greenhouse crop physiology including cultural practices to enhance crop productivity, plant nutrition and nutrient solution/drip irrigation management, basics of crop protection including integrated pest management, bee management, as well as personnel management and marketing strategies.

Alumni careers: Commercial greenhouse operation grower/manager, greenhouse entomology/plant pathology specialist, plant nutrition specialist, secondary education, greenhouse owner/operator, agricultural sales.

The CEAC has several projects underway in coordination with the
Agriculture Research Station, the research arm of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at the University of Arizona. Research is conducted in the various departments and schools on campus, as well as at Agricultural Centers throughout the state. Research generated through the Arizona Agricultural Experiment Station underlies both academic and extension programs.

This site contains a wealth of information. The CEAC is an interdisciplinary research and training facility located on the University of Arizona's Campus Agriculture Center (a.k.a. the Farm). Students and faculty from the College of Ag and Life Sciences, including
Agricultural & Biosystems Engineering, Agricultural Education, and Plant Sciences currently participate within its programs.
