Chemical, Biochemical, and Biotechnology Systems
SYNOPSIS
The Chemical, Biochemical, and Biotechnology cluster deals with problems involved in the processing and manufacture of products of economic importance by effectively utilizing chemical resources and renewable resources of biological origin, often with the aid of bioinformatics originating from genomic and proteomic information. This cluster supports fundamental and applied research on catalytic processes and understanding the kinetics and mechanisms of pertinent reactions. Research in control, optimization, and process modeling are also supported.
